Comparing hair transplant quotes in Belfast

Two hair transplant quotes can cover different treatment plans. Before comparing the total, check the proposed area, graft estimate, surgeon, procedure location and follow-up arrangements.

Start with the treatment plan

A quote should explain which areas would be treated and why that plan suits your donor hair. A larger graft number is not automatically a better offer: it uses more of a limited donor supply and may not match the area you want to restore.

Ask the surgeon how the plan accounts for future thinning. If two clinics suggest different numbers, ask each to explain its estimate rather than choosing the larger number on price alone.

Check the Belfast prices against your assessment

Our Belfast cost page lists prices for different graft requirements. These advertised examples help with initial planning; your written quote should confirm your own proposed procedure, graft estimate and total.

Check whether the figure includes the consultation, local anaesthetic, prescribed postoperative medicines, dressings and scheduled reviews. Ask separately about optional treatments and any later procedure. Keep a copy of the quote and the cancellation terms.

Confirm where each appointment takes place

A consultation address does not necessarily identify the surgical facility. Ask for the exact address of the procedure, the clinician responsible and the location of follow-up visits before paying a deposit.

Our Belfast consultation location is Regus, Forsyth House, Cromac Street, Belfast BT2 8LA, by appointment. Confirm all travel arrangements with the team, particularly if your treatment or review is at another location.

Check the clinician and facility

Check the surgeon’s current licence on the GMC medical register. Ask who performs each part of the operation and who is responsible if a problem develops.

The relevant facility regulator depends on where treatment takes place. RQIA regulates health and social care services in Northern Ireland; for treatment elsewhere, check the regulator for that location. Match the registered service to the actual facility.

Allow for recovery and follow-up

Consider travel, time away from work and any overnight accommodation alongside the clinic’s fee. Discuss your job and exercise routine with the surgeon so that you can plan an appropriate recovery period.

Ask which reviews are included, how to contact the team outside normal hours and what happens if you need an unplanned assessment. Read our aftercare guide for topics to discuss.

Take time to compare

Request the details in writing and take them away to consider. A consultation should leave you able to explain the proposed treatment, its limitations and the total cost. You can ask further questions or decide against treatment.

Questions and answers

Can I compare FUE quotes by price per graft alone?

No. Compare the proposed treatment area, graft estimate, surgical responsibilities and included follow-up. A lower unit price does not tell you whether the plan fits your donor supply or goals.

Does a guide price replace an individual quote?

No. Ask for a written quote after assessment, with the treatment plan, inclusions, possible additional costs and payment terms clearly stated.

What should I budget for beyond the procedure?

Check whether travel, accommodation, time away from work, prescribed medicines and later reviews would create additional costs. Ask which items are included before committing.
